Mr. S.V.R. Srinivas, IAS. 31 years in Indian Administrative Services has more than two decades of field level hands on & high level experience in Urban and Infrastructure sectors.
He headed multidisciplinary teams in Urban Transport, Metro Railways, Housing and Urban Infrastructure Planning & Implementation and Municipal Administration.
Some of the completed vital projects he was closely associated with include Mumbai metro line 1, Mumbai Urban Transport Project ala’ 1st Double Decker Bridge SCLR, T2 Mumbai Airport besides flyovers in Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
Mr. S.V.R. Srinivas, IAS. is currently working as Metropolitan Commissioner of Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) and Managing Director of Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC). His repertoire includes Metro lines in Mumbai and MMR, Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (MTHL) Major Tunnels, Major Regional Water Projects, elevated roads besides spatial & transportation planning.
Before taking the responsibility as MC, MMRDA, Mr. S.V.R.Srinivas headed Housing Department of Govt of Maharashtra as Principal Secretary. Previously he held the positions of Chief of Dharavi Redevelopment Project, Secretary, IT, Additional Municipal Commissioner, MCGM. and Additional Metropolitan Commissioner MMRDA & Managing Director, Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Ltd.
He also served as Municipal Commissioner of Kolhapur and Solapur Municipal Corporations and also as the Joint Managing Director of MSRDC.
He began his career in Administrative services as a Assistant Collector of Bhusawal, Chief Executive Officer of Osmanabad Zilla Parishad & chairman DRDA, and Collector & District Magistrate of Akola district.
